It was an honor and my greatest pleasure to have been a part of the build team for Tyler. His strength and good attitude was so inspiring to me and many many others. I'll take a 1000 mile road trip any day to meet another person like tyler, and the rest of the guys who made it to Frazee that weekend. I can only hope to touch so many people in my lifetime as Tyler has. It was an honor to meet you my friend, Rip and go easy on the ricers up there!!!

On behalf of myself and wigm-tuners.org we would like to thank everyone who was involed in this for Tyler Shipman. Many of us heard about it on our fourms. I did the day after it was posted. I also watched the build through the streaming video on the progress of the fiero and seen the pics. Again, thanks to those who were involved in this project. RIP Tyler

Saw this news off Autoblog, being a motorhead myself. Read the Kare11 article/clip and the 2 threads on the Fiero forum too...

Am really sad for the bright soul that is Tyler. Watching the FB memorial clip for him brought tears to my eyes.

Though I don't know him personally, I can tell that his cheery smile and beautiful heart, brought joy to everyone who knew him.

RIP Tyler... glad you are in a better place now. You will be missed bro.

A friend of mine posted the news story on my facebook and i gave it a watch. What i just saw was one of the most touching stories ive ever seen. To see people, from across the country and total strangers, come together for something greater than themselves is very moving and something very special. Having 2 little boys of my own, and being a motor-head as well, this story hit very close to home and my heart as well. It makes me proud to be apart of the world-wide community of car lovers. My thoughts and prayers are with your parents and all of your family Tyler. Take care of that beautiful Fiero and make sure it never leaves the Shipman family. RIP Tyler

I know we are sad about Tyler's passing, but we have to be happy that he is no longer suffering and is happy up there with the Lord. I am sure too that he is revving it up with his Fiero in heaven where there are no speed limits!

I'm shaken up, in tears, I didn't know him but the story touched me. I cried for the first time in years after seeing it. Rest in peace brother. I am so proud of what those people did for him.

I stumbled across Tyler's video a while back on a car website. I do not own a Fiero, I actually am a Jeep guy. I guess we are all gearheads though, and we all have that in common.
I am 20 years old and cannot imagine what Tyler and his family have been through. I never knew Tyler, or anyone close to him. All I know is his story, and that is enough to bring tears to my eyes. I was deeply saddened by the news of Tyler's death and words cannot express how I feel. I will never meet any of you, but I would like you to remember one thing. Tyler's story affected more people than you can imagine, and I will be thinking about Tyler in the future. Godspeed and RIP Tyler.

Stumbled across this, Tyler's story, quite by accident. I want to send my blessings to the Shipman family and to the fantastic group of people who fulfilled Tyler's Dream.

I would say 'may he rest in peace', but I prefer to imagine him tearing up Heaven's streets in his new '86 Fiero GT.

A member on my forum posted about this project when it was underway, and now again to let us know of Tyler's passing, which I am sorry to hear about.
I just took the time to browse the site and just wanted to say its really moving to see so many people get off their butts and do something when it was important. There's lots of talk on forums and not much action usually, and I have a lot of respect for your community for rising above with such a selfless act... I'm sure Tyler thought it was incredible.
Right on guys... this is about a lot more than rebuilding a car, and I hope this kind of giving is contagious.

Thank you!

I just want to thank anybody and everybody that helped out with the Tyler project in any way, shape, or form. Whether it was time, money, auto parts, or just words of encouragement, what happened in our little town of Frazee has been so incredibly inspiring.
Tyler's smile could make anybody smile, and this project helped him, along with many others, find the chance to smile through everything that was going on.
He is going to be extremely missed, and I hope everybody involved with the Fiero project knows how amazing it was that you did this for him and his family.
The entire group of "Fiero-heads" has continued to amaze me with their ongoing and unconditional support for Tyler, along with their incredible enthusiasm for Fiero's.
What you all did is absolutely AMAZING and...well, words truly can't describe it, so Thank you again SOOO very much for all that you did for Tyler!!!
I'm know he will be watching you all from heaven admiring your Fiero's and what a fine job you did on his :)

God Bless you all!

Alyssa, a fellow classmate of Tyler
